Hey, there, Jool Lovers! I hope the new year is treating you well. As for me, 2020 has me feeling like I’m starting over with my business. My focus for this year will be on improving my website, which means learning all about how to utilize digital media. Skimming over articles and making changes on my site while crossing my fingers for luck is not a very good strategy. Now I’m going to learn it the right way, going to learn how to sell and market, because it’s change or quit time. Not to be dramatic, ok, but my hobby used to be making pretty things, and now it has to be selling those pretty things, and that part has sort of taken the fun out of the creating, and so I really want the process to be fun and successful again.
I finally put my Etsy store on vacation, so I’m not making any money there, but then I hadn’t for a long time, no matter what I did. The time I spent on trying to learn how to optimize that store meant that I ignored my website, which also needed some work, there’s all kinds of neat things it can do, or apps to do things. Etsy needs to sort some things out to make it better for sellers, so it’s fine with me to focus on the site right now.
So I changed the colors again, added stuff to the home page. Click here to see, let me know what you think below.
I do have some fun and juicy beaded thingies coming up soon, and lots more planned. And I intend to post more, too. I’ve really had to get organized, it’s not my strongest muscle to plan everything out, but it’s necessary if I’m going to do that marketing. Consistency! all of my sources seem to demand, so I’m going to give that a try. I feel like if I could just get used to the new scheduling, I could get back to making juicy jools, as I am far behind on my production schedule too. You know what? I don’t like this feeling of starting over from behind but it is a feeling I know too well. This year, I am determined to turn that around. So keep your eyes peeled, more Juice is on the way!
Til next time, jool lovers!
